Impact Molding Leadership walking thru shop

Focused on the future—right from the start

American manufacturing and ingenuity spearheaded one of the most explosive periods of growth in the United States and around the world starting in the late 1940s. Two small-town companies in Indiana seized the opportunities they saw and joined their manufacturing counterparts in making American products used worldwide.

plastic cup production

Williams Plastics began as a small, family-run business printing signs and truck decals right after World War II. On the strength of a burgeoning printing and plastics market, Williams Plastics quickly expanded into the food and beverage, automotive, industrial, drinkware, and consumer products realms.

Plastic mold and die

Indiana Plastics started when two brothers decided to make molds for the rapidly expanding plastics industry in the mid-’60s. The company experienced rapid growth in the 1970s when it began to specialize in custom injection molding, picking up consumer market clients. Expansion into the defense, automotive, and medical markets soon followed.

Made in America, made for the world

Both of these entrepreneurial companies have evolved into global players in the custom plastics injection molding industry. Now united and keenly focused as Impact Molding, we offer the strength and capacity of multiple locations, a much broader range of capabilities, and are proud to be a Thunderbird company.

Impact Molding has not forgotten its roots. We’re still based in Indiana, producing American-made plastics for a range of applications around the world. We still place the utmost importance on quality, dependability, and customer service. And we still have some members of our founding families working hard for our customers every day.

As part of the Thunderbird group of companies, we are building on our storied history with enhanced capabilities and capacity to better serve our loyal customers. We are writing a new chapter of American manufacturing—it promises more success for our loyal clients for years to come.
